About The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Coffeehouse chain serving a variety of beverages including its signature ice-blended options.

Located at 2180 N Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93030, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf operates as a tea house serving Oxnard in California. Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Oxnard. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Oxnard is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Oxnard follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The worst matcha latte I have ever had in my life. Jade Leaf powdered matcha from Walmart…. Yes a mix is significantly better. It’s that bad. Low quality matcha with a weird fishy taste, (possibly mixed in too hot) and the worst part is there was WAY too much sugar. So thick and sweet like I was drinking a thing of coffee creamer or something. I regularly drink matcha lattes from Starbucks and other coffee/tea shops. I like sweet. I am not picky. Not at all. I make matcha lattes at home from Costco matcha and am very happy with them. This was just so bad it was (not exaggerating) the worst matcha latte i have ever had EVER. Way too much sugar and a weird fishy taste which I have only ever experienced with baking quality matcha or matcha that has been over heated. This company has the word “tea” in their name, which would imply that they have at least somewhat decent tea…. Apparently Not. Almost $10 with tip and for the first time ever I had to throw away my drink because it was not palatable at all. I also signed up for rewards app to get 50% off and asked the cashier (this is my first visit ever) and she couldn’t help me. I didn’t get the 50% off until after I bought my first dri

Im a passing through truck driver. This was the best coffee I've ever had. I also got the Jalepeno cheese bagel which was awesome but I do wish it was crunchy.

The guy with the glasses decided to make my drink incorrectly as if I don’t know, he made a latte with the shots, then took the lid back off stuck his nose an inch from the top for about 5-10 seconds until his palette could register that he forgot the ingredients I ordered, he took a cup of powder poured it on the top, then a squirt of caramel sauce then a whisk and twirled it around and I asked him as he was doing that to remake it. He kept twirling it and said this is how we make them. I said, you make them in that mixing cup and he said no we don’t as if I hadn’t been ordering this for 25 years. He refused to remake it. Horrible service, I’ve been up since 5 am and I didn’t miss a step, this guy probably didn’t wake up til 9 am… I’ve spent probably over 30-40k at this company and I won’t go to this location again. Place was packed with people WiFi cruising there was nowhere to sit you had to stand and wait 20 minutes for them to get through their mobile orders to then not care about your drink. Side note, the person behind me ordered oat milk and they used whole milk… I could not say enough, don’t go here clearly they don’t care.

I recently decided to come back to the Coffee Bean in Oxnard and tried it again. I immediately got to see Andrew and he greeted us with a smile. I felt like home again. I will try it again because I live in Oxnard. Andrew is such a good person and great customer service.

What’s this? I didn’t ask for light whipped cream. Who’s managing this location? Awful watered down ice blend. Made me go outta may way to do this bad review on you guys. I will be contacting corporate and sending them pictures. Besides being low on whipped cream seems like they were also low on caramel. Drinks were watered down will not recommend to anyone. I overheard a guy telling the female barista that the caramel drink looked bad she laughed and said it’s good. I wish I had got her name.
